Lucy Ferguson

Lucy is a freelance copywriter with a specialism in charity work.  She crafts clear, engaging and effective copy. She is highly creative, has a way with words and a flare for storytelling. Whatever the project, she'll make every word count!

Lucy has written for a wide range of charities working in the following areas:

  • international development

  • mental health

  • employability

  • human trafficking

  • domestic violence

  • therapeutic horticulture

  • women's empowerment

  • agriculture

Lucy also writes for small businesses and start-ups where she enjoys putting new ideas into words, as well as working to establish brand identity, style and tone.

Lucy has produced copy for websites, leaflets, case studies, supporter materials, speeches, short films, social media and funding reports.

Case Studies

Lucy has written more case studies than she can keep count of! She has strong people and communication skills so has a real knack for making people feel at ease and  comfortable to tell their story. Lucy has brilliant questioning techniques and always seems to draw out  those interesting details and a level of emotional vulnerability that makes a story come alive. However, with six years' experience in charity management she also has an eye for capturing all the information funders might need!

Lucy has spent over eight years working with people who have experienced violence, trauma and mental health problems.
